Selection Process

No written examination for either advertisement. Selection is by shortlisting, followed by interview, followed by CTC negotiation. For the two Deputy Vice President posts under advertisement 24, the interview includes a 5–10 minute presentation on the relevant job profile. Mere eligibility does not guarantee an interview call — the shortlisting committee decides its own parameters.

How to Apply

  1. Open sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings and use the Apply Online link under advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25 or 24.
  2. Register, note the registration number and password, and fill the online form.
  3. Upload resume, ID proof, age proof, caste/PwBD certificate if applicable, educational certificates, experience proof and the bank’s biodata format — a missing document means no shortlisting.
  4. Pay ₹750 online (nil for SC/ST/PwBD). Registration is complete only once the fee is paid.
  5. Candidates can apply for more than one post if eligible for each; serving government/PSU/SBI Group employees need an NOC at interview.

State Bank of India has extended the online registration window for two Specialist Cadre Officer advertisements — CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25 (Wealth Management & Premier Banking) and CRPD/SCO/2026-27/24 (Digital Marketing) — to 31 October 2026. Both windows originally closed on 21 October. Between them the two advertisements carry 10 vacancies, and the highest-paid post, Head Sales, has an annual CTC upper range of ₹199.00 lakh — just short of ₹2 crore, which is more than the bank is offering its first Chief AI Officer.

These are contract engagements for experienced professionals, not probationary-officer-style vacancies. There is no written examination: selection in both advertisements is by shortlisting, interview and CTC negotiation. If you hold the experience asked for, the entire application is a document upload and a ₹750 fee — but it must be complete, with fee paid, by 31 October.

Advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25 covers six vacancies across five posts for the bank's Wealth Management & Premier Banking Department. The suggested place of posting for all of them is Mumbai, and the contract period is 5 years, renewable for another 4 years at the bank's discretion. Age is reckoned as on 31 August 2026.

PostVacanciesAgeAnnual CTC upper limit
Head Sales140–52₹199.00 lakh
Central Research Team (Product Lead)2 (1 SC, 1 UR)30–45₹77.20 lakh
Manager (Business Process)130–40₹47.20 lakh
Project Development Manager (Technology)125–40₹47.20 lakh
Central Operations Team (COT) Support1 (OBC)30–40₹37.20 lakh

The qualification bar tracks the pay. Head Sales needs an MBA/PGDM plus a minimum of 15 years managing sales teams in wealth management, retail banking or AMCs — of which at least 8 years leading large teams of relationship managers. Central Research Team (Product Lead) asks for an MBA/PGDM or CA/CFA with 5 years in equity research or products at a wealth manager, mutual fund house or bank. Manager (Business Process) needs an MBA/PGDM and 5 years in banks, wealth-management or broking firms. Project Development Manager (Technology) takes BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech or an MBA-family degree with 4 years in banking technology. The COT Support post is the most accessible: any graduate with 3 years in financial services, investment advisory, private banking or wealth-management solution providers.

The CTC figures are upper limits, negotiable against your current emoluments — the bank conducts a formal CTC negotiation with shortlisted candidates, either during the interview or after it. On top of fixed pay there is performance-linked pay of up to 35% of fixed pay and an annual increment band of up to 25%.

Advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/24 carries four vacancies for the Digital Marketing Department, posted at Mumbai / Navi Mumbai, on a 3-year contract extendable by 2 more years. All four are unreserved, with horizontal LD (locomotor disability) reservation marked against each of the three post types. Age is again as on 31 August 2026.

PostVacanciesAgeAnnual CTC
Deputy Vice President (Analytical Marketing & Campaign)133–45Up to ₹63 lakh
Deputy Vice President (Digital Marketing)233–45Up to ₹63 lakh
Content Specialist125–40Up to ₹19 lakh

Both DVP posts demand a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification marketing experience in e-commerce, banking, fintech, IT or a consumer-facing company, on top of a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or a related field; an MBA/PGDM and certifications in GA4, Google Ads or performance marketing are preferred. Shortlisted DVP candidates must also deliver a 5–10 minute presentation on the relevant job profile as part of the interview. The Content Specialist post needs a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or advertising with 5–7 years of hands-on content production or digital-operations experience, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry. Here the CTC comprises 80% fixed and 20% variable pay, with annual increments of up to 5% from the second year.

Fee, selection, and what the extension means

The application fee for both advertisements is ₹750 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and nil for SC/ST/PwBD, payable online. Registration counts only once the fee is paid — an application sitting unpaid at 11:59 PM on 31 October is an application not made.

Selection in both advertisements is shortlisting followed by interview and CTC negotiation. Mere eligibility does not guarantee an interview call: a shortlisting committee sets its own parameters and calls an "adequate number" of candidates. Candidates can apply for more than one post if they meet the criteria for each, and candidates serving in government offices, PSUs, nationalised banks or SBI Group companies must produce a No Objection Certificate at the interview.

An extension this close to the original deadline usually means the bank wants a deeper applicant pool for niche posts — which is good news if you qualify: the shortlisting cut-offs in a thin field are decided by who actually applies.

Last date: 31 October 2026 — fee paid, documents uploaded

Upload everything at registration: resume, ID proof, age proof, educational certificates, experience proof, and the biodata form in the bank's own format (downloadable below). The advertisement is explicit that a missing document means no shortlisting, and no hard copies are accepted or sent. Calls for interview go by email only.

The third live SCO window closes 9 November

Separately, the bank's AI-cadre advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/30 — six fixed-term posts including the bank's first Chief AI Officer at an upper CTC of ₹160 lakh — remains open until 9 November 2026. If your background is analytics, AI governance or data engineering rather than wealth or marketing, that is the window to look at.
