LIC Housing Finance Limited is engaging 232 apprentices across 25 states and union territories, and applications close on 1 November 2026 — 9 days from today. The online entrance examination follows just 6 days later, on 7 November 2026.
Before anything else, understand how you apply, because this is a two-step process and the first step alone is not an application. You register on the NATS portal. Then BFSI SSC emails eligible registered candidates to fill in the application form and pay the fee at beep.bfsissc.com. If you have only done the NATS registration, you have not applied yet.
Important dates
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Applications opened | 20 October 2026 |
| Last date to apply | 1 November 2026 (Sunday) |
| Last date to pay the examination fee | 1 November 2026 — the same day |
| Online entrance examination | 7 November 2026 (Saturday) |
| Document verification and interview | 15 November 2026 onwards |
Note that the last date to apply and the last date to pay the fee are the same date. There is no grace period for payment, and an unpaid application is not an application.
Who can apply
- Qualification: graduation in any stream, with the result declared on or after 1 October 2001 and on or before 1 October 2026.
- Age: 20 to 25 years as on 1 October 2026.
- Prior apprenticeship: you are not eligible if you have a running, terminated or completed apprenticeship contract under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
The age condition is the one that disqualifies most people who read this page, and it is unusual, so read it twice: there is no category-wise age relaxation. No extra three years for OBC, no extra five for SC or ST. The upper limit is 25 for everybody.
That also quietly narrows the graduation window. The official window runs from 2001, which looks enormously generous, but a 25-year cap means in practice you are a recent graduate. If you turned 26 before 1 October 2026, the 2001 date does not help you.
What an apprenticeship here actually is
LIC HFL is blunt about this in its own wording, and it is worth quoting because candidates routinely misread these engagements as a back door into a permanent job:
Apprenticeship is NOT employment — apprentices are trainees only, and LIC HFL is not obliged to offer full-time employment on completion.
What you do get is 12 months of on-the-job training from the date of contract, a monthly stipend, and a Proficiency Certificate from BOAT at the end. For a fresh graduate aiming at bank and insurance exams, the certificate and a year of real BFSI floor experience are the return — not a job offer.
Stipend
| Posting city | Monthly stipend | Over 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Metro — Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Surat | ₹16,650 | ₹199,800 |
| All other cities | ₹14,150 | ₹169,800 |
For candidates in the Telugu states this distinction matters: Hyderabad is on the metro list and no Andhra Pradesh city is. A posting in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam or Tirupathi pays ₹14,150 a month, not ₹16,650 — a difference of ₹30,000 over the twelve months.
Application fee
| Category | Fee before GST | Payable with 18% GST |
|---|---|---|
| SC / ST | ₹200 | ₹236 |
| PwBD (benchmark disability) | ₹200 | ₹236 |
| General / EWS / OBC — male | ₹800 | ₹944 |
| General / EWS / OBC — female | ₹600 | ₹708 |
| Transgender (General / EWS / OBC) | ₹600 | ₹708 |
Two things the fee table does not say out loud. The published amounts are before GST, and the portal charges 18% on top, so budget the right-hand column. And the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable — once an application is submitted it cannot be withdrawn.
The entrance examination on 7 November 2026
| Section | Format |
|---|---|
| General / Financial Awareness | 100 questions · 100 marks · 60 minutes · online proctored |
| English Language | |
| Reasoning & Computer Aptitude | |
| Quantitative Aptitude |
100 questions in 60 minutes is a little over half a minute per question, which is the same pressure as an IBPS prelims paper. The syllabus is standard bank-exam territory, so anyone already preparing for IBPS, SBI or insurance recruitment is preparing for this too. The one section to look at specifically is Financial Awareness — housing finance, NHB, and the current rate environment are fair game for a housing finance company.
The paper is online and proctored, so you need a working webcam, a stable connection and a quiet room on the day.
How the selection runs
- Register on the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in and apply for the LIC HFL apprenticeship. Note down your Enrolment ID — every later communication is keyed to it.
- Wait for the BFSI SSC email. Eligible registered candidates are emailed a link to complete the application and pay the fee.
- Fill the application and pay at beep.bfsissc.com, on or before 1 November 2026. You will need a scanned photograph and signature.
- Sit the online proctored entrance examination on 7 November 2026.
- Document verification and a personal interview at LIC HFL offices, from 15 November 2026.
- Engagement letters are issued to the finally selected candidates.
Because step 2 depends on an email, use an address you actually check, and look in the spam folder if nothing arrives within a day or two of registering. With 9 days left there is no room to discover on 1 November that the mail went to junk.
Choosing your district — you get three preferences
The vacancies are allotted state-wise and city-wise. You may pick up to three district preferences, but the final allotment is made by the employer, not by you. Treat all three as places you would actually move to.
There are 181 districts on the official list across 25 states and union territories. These are the ones in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, spelled the way the portal spells them so you can find them in the dropdown:
| State | Districts you can choose |
|---|---|
| Andhra Pradesh (13) | Ananthapur, Bhimavaram, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Machilipatnam, Nellore, Ongole, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Vizianagaran |
| Telangana (8) | Hanumakonda, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Secunderabad |
On the vacancy count, and on the notification PDF
You will see this recruitment reported as 342 posts in several places. BFSI SSC's own published record puts the total at 232, and that is the figure used throughout this page.
You will also see links offered to a “notification PDF”. As far as we can establish there isn't one: LIC HFL and BFSI SSC published this engagement as a listing on the BEEP portal rather than as a downloadable advertisement, and LIC HFL's own careers page carries no mention of it. We mirror every official PDF we link so our readers are never sent to a third-party copy — here there is no document to mirror, so every detail on this page is attributed to the official portal listing instead, and you should verify against it before you pay.
