Central Warehousing Corporation — a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution — is recruiting 327 people across eight posts. Online registration opened on 17 October 2026 and closes on 15 November 2026.
Three things in this advertisement are worth knowing before you decide whether to pay the fee.
Every single paper ends with a descriptive English test. Two questions, 30 marks, 30 minutes, English only — and you must score 40% on it (35% if you are OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD or Ex-Serviceman) or you are out, no matter what you scored on the objective sections. This is not an optional essay. It is a qualifying gate on a paper that is otherwise 200 MCQs.
The 156 Junior Executive posts have no interview. Post Codes 07 and 08 go straight from the online test to document verification, and appointment is on the written score alone. That is nearly half the advertisement decided purely on marks.
All women pay Rs. 500, whatever their category. The fee exemption is written for "SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Serviceman and Women candidates" — so an unreserved woman pays Rs. 500 where an unreserved man pays Rs. 1,350.

The 327 posts
Post codes run from 01 to 08. The full post-wise table with reservation and qualification for each code is in the Vacancy Details panel above; here is the shape of it.
| Grade | Posts | Vacancies | Scale (IDA) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assistant Manager | General, Technical, Finance, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical | 171 | Rs. 40,000 – 1,40,000 (E-1) |
| Junior Executive | General, Technical | 156 | Rs. 29,000 – 93,000 (S-V) |
| Total | 327 |
The two largest openings are the Junior Executive posts at 78 each. Assistant Manager (General) at 70 is the largest officer-grade opening and the only one that asks for a post-graduate degree in any discipline — no branch restriction, no experience.
Age
One limit covers all eight posts: 18 to 28 years as on 15 November 2026. In the notification's own words, candidates should not have been born earlier than 16 November 1998 or later than 15 November 2008, both days inclusive.
That 28-year cap applies to the Assistant Manager (Finance) post too — which separately asks for three years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting. Read those two requirements together before applying.
Fee
| Category | Application fee | Intimation charges | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Serviceman and all women | Nil | Rs. 500 | Rs. 500 |
| Unreserved, EWS and OBC | Rs. 850 | Rs. 500 | Rs. 1,350 |
Inclusive of GST, non-refundable, online payment gateway only. Demand drafts, cheques and postal orders will not be accepted, and payment gateway charges are yours to bear.
Exam pattern
All four papers are 202 questions, 230 marks, 180 minutes, with every section separately timed — you cannot carry spare minutes from one section into the next.
| Paper | Objective sections | Descriptive |
|---|---|---|
| Assistant Manager (General) | Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 60, DI & Quantitative Aptitude 60, English Language 40, General Awareness 40 | 2 questions, 30 marks |
| Assistant Manager (Technical / Finance / Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) | Professional Knowledge 60, English Language 40, General Awareness 40, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 30, DI & Quantitative Aptitude 30 | 2 questions, 30 marks |
| Junior Executive (General) | Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 50, DI & Quantitative Aptitude 50, General Awareness 50, English Language 50 | 2 questions, 30 marks |
| Junior Executive (Technical) | Subject Knowledge 65, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 40, DI & Quantitative Aptitude 40, English Language 35, General Awareness 20 | 2 questions, 30 marks |
Negative marking is one fourth of the marks for that question. Blanks cost nothing. On a 60-mark Professional Knowledge section that is 0.25 off for each wrong answer, so four wrong guesses cancel one correct one.
Note which sections are English-only: the English Language paper and the descriptive test are English for everyone. Reasoning, Data Interpretation and General Awareness are offered in Hindi and English — except for Junior Executive (General), where Reasoning and Computer Aptitude is English only, and Junior Executive (Technical), where it is also English only.
Selection
The two grades are decided differently, and the difference matters.
- Assistant Manager (Post Codes 01–06): online test, then document verification followed by an interview. The interview is out of 30 marks and has its own qualifying bar — 50% for Unreserved and EWS, 45% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen. Final merit weights exam and interview 85:15. Shortlisting for interview is at a ratio of 1:5.
- Junior Executive (Post Codes 07–08): online test, then document verification. No interview. Appointment is on the marks obtained in the online test. Shortlisting for document verification is at 1:3.
CWC reserves the right to relax or raise the qualifying marks to match the number of vacancies, and scores are not shared with candidates before the verification stage is complete.
The bond
This is the clause most summaries leave out. Selected candidates must furnish a bond to serve the Corporation for a minimum of two years at the time of joining:
- Assistant Manager — Rs. 1,00,000
- Junior Executive — Rs. 50,000
This is an All India cadre. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or outside India at CWC's discretion, and as part of initial induction may have to spend a specified period at CWC field units.
How to apply
- Go to www.cewacor.nic.in and open the link for CWC (Direct Recruitment)-2026.
- Choose "Click here for New Registration" and enter your name, contact details and email ID. Note down the Provisional Registration Number and password the system generates.
- Use "SAVE AND NEXT" to check your details before final submission — the form cannot be corrected afterwards.
- Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression and the handwritten declaration to the stated specifications.
- Pay the fee through the online gateway and keep the e-receipt.
Keep the registered email ID and mobile number working until the process ends. CWC sends call letters and every intimation only to those, and states plainly that it is not responsible if they do not reach you.
One more thing to check
Candidates in their final year or final semester are not eligible. The qualification is reckoned from the date the final mark sheet or certificate was issued, and you must hold it as on 15 November 2026. Where your university awards CGPA or OGPA, convert it to a percentage for the application form and carry the university's conversion certificate to document verification.
